walking thru Bayamón

so this is a little photo essay i did to document a very interesting intersection in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. one street is cramped, colorful, dirty, smelly, teeming with cheap shops and people and looks like a bomb went off because of the construction going on in the midst of everything.

the street that crosses it is crisp, monotone, modern and downright sophosticated comparatively.

this contrast intrigues me to no end. somehow, someone must be benefiting from the proximity of these streets to each other, but who? and how much? from a photographer's standpoint the cramped street is way more interesting, but i don't think it would be so compelling without the fancy street in the way.

anyways here are some of the people and visual moments i encountered on the cheap street.
